I’m so jealous of everyone I’m seeing in blogland and on instagram wearing their fall scarves and jackets! It feels like summer is in full swing here in SoCal. It’s been 95-100 degrees the last couple of days. I’d really like to be layering right now but it look like I’ll have to keep wearing tank tops (with a denim jacket for air conditioned rooms!). The good thing is all the summer clothes are on sale now!
Speaking of fall – don’t forget to vote for my Fall Fashion look for the Beverly Center Style Challenge! I’m just sad I won’t be able to wear it for awhile because it’s too darn hot for leather jackets! You can get more details and see my full outfit here. Thanks!
I’m excited to introduce you to Laura from A Touch of Tartan today! You can see she has a great sense of style but what I really like about her blog is her “Copy that Look” series where she takes celebrity outfits and recreates them for way less! She’s here to tell you more about herself and her blog!
“My name is Laura and I’m a lawyer by day, blogger by night and a mummy to my Chow Chow, Yogi. I am in my twenties and blog from Glasgow, Scotland. If I had to describe my style I would call it casual smart and my favourite outfit colours would have to be black and red.
I started A Touch of Tartan a couple of years ago and since then the blog has gone under a complete makeover and a name change.
A Touch of Tartan is a lifestyle blog focusing on budget friendly fashion and beauty – we can’t all afford to spend over £100 for each item in our wardrobe, after all. Posts mainly consist of individual looks, latest news/trends and wishlists and my “Copy that Look” series. The “Copy that Look” series takes celebrity outfits and re-creates them as closely as possible but without breaking the bank. I also take emails from readers if they are trying to re-create a look or find a celebrity item.”
