Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

An easy "bread" made with pumpkin, spices, and chocolate chips!

Servings 2 Large Loaves


  • 3 C Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 3 C Sugar
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 C Vegetable Oil
  • C Water
  • 2 C Pumpkin Puree
  • 12 oz Chocolate Chips


  • Preheat oven to 325°.
  • In a Large Bowl mix Flour, Baking Soda, Salt, Allspice, Sugar, Baking Powder, Cloves, and Cinnamon.
  • In a Small Bowl mix Eggs, Oil, and Water.
  • Combine wet ingredients with dry and mix well.
  • Add Pumpkin and Chocolate Chips to the mix and stir.
  • Grease and Flour 2 large loaf pans (or 6 small loaf pans). Bake 325° for 1 hour 15 min. (Or 1 hour for smaller pans).


  • You can sub 3 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice mix for the Allspice, Cloves, and Cinnamon if you don't have them. 
  • Baking time will depend on the size of the loaf pans. Just keep an eye on them! Loaves are done when you stick a knife in the middle and it comes out clean.
  • Let cool before removing from loaf pan.
