White Spring Outfits from Christy Dawn: Larissa Dress, Perla Skirt + Ghita Blouse Review
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to break out my spring/summer whites! Nothing says ‘warm weather’ to me like an easy, breezy white dress or skirt. I recently got some beautiful white pieces in from Christy Dawn: the Larissa Dress, Pearla Skirt, and Ghita Blouse, to create some white spring outfits!

Larissa Dress Review
I tried to get the Larissa Dress last year but it sold out so quickly! I absolutely loved the functional ties through the lattice trim and the intricacy of the lace details throughout the bodice. As far as adjustability, this 100% organic cotton dress is a dream. There are FIVE functional ties on this dress: 2 adjustable straps, 1 adjustable neck tie, 1 under-bust tie, and 1 waist tie. There is also a smocked back panel for extra stretch. Oh! And pockets!
FYI – I’m calling these “white” outfits because these pieces look white on Christy Dawn’s website. However, they are not a true white. They are more of a cream with pink undertones. So if you compare them to a white fabric they will not match.

Size and Fit
Measurements: 33-29-39, 30D, 5’8″, 130lbs
Since the Larissa Dress is so adjustable, I think there is a lot of wiggle room size-wise. I usually always take a size small in Christy Dawn, but for this dress, the size small wasn’t available to me, so I sized down to the XS. It’s definitely a tighter fit around my waist, but it still fits! I don’t have to tighten the waist ties or the strap ties at all. And surprisingly, there is still extra room in the bust area, so I have to tighten the neck tie.

According to the size chart, I’m right between a size small and medium for my waist and hip measurement – so I’m surprised that the XS still fits. My bust area is more petite and between a size XS/S. I would say if you are between sizes you can definitely take your smaller size. I probably would have taken my usual size small if it was available to me – I just would have had to tighten all of the ties. You can see on the model shots on the website that the dress is a more relaxed fit. Since I sized down it is definitely a tighter fit on me.

Perla Skirt + Ghita Blouse Review
I originally got the Ghita Blouse to wear with the Gabrielle Skirt I got last year because they are both labeled the color “Pearl” and I thought they’d be a match. Unfortunately, The Gabrielle Skirt had more pink undertones and didn’t quite match the Ghita Blouse like I thought it would. I really wanted to be able to wear them together so I sold the Gabrielle skirt on the Christy Dawn Marketplace and bought the Perla Skirt. Luckily, they are a match color-wise!
* I’ve noticed that the “Pearl” colorway is not very consistent. My Gabrielle Skirt from last year had a more tan/cream/pinkish hue, which is similar to the Larissa Dress I got this year. The Perla Skirt and Ghita blouse in Pearl are definitely closer to a cream/off-white with a little pink undertone. I don’t know why this is – I’m kind of wondering if I got a Larissa Dress leftover from last year’s “Pearl” fabric?

I do still like the Gabrielle Skirt but the Perla Skirt definitely has more delicate details. The pintuck and trim sections, and the satin tie on the skirt give it an even more feminine vibe. The waistband is elastic so it’s really comfortable to wear and offers some sizing flexibility. It does have side seam pockets (yay!) and has a short skirt lining. It’s 100% organic cotton and has a nice weight to it while being soft.

Perla Skirt Size and Fit
I took my usual size small in the Perla Skirt and I think it runs TTS at the waist but maybe a little tighter around the hips. Granted, I am closer to a size medium in my hip measurement, but this skirt is a little more snug around my butt/hip area than the skirts on my other Christy Dawn dresses. There is also a functional drawstring tie right below the hips so you are able to cinch it in even more (although I don’t need too).
Ghita Blouse Size and Fit
The Ghita Blouse is a light button-up shirt made from soft, 100% organic cotton. It has a sweet embroidered collar and an oversized, relaxed fit. I wear the size small, and there’s definitely enough room. I probably would be ok with sizing down, but I didn’t want the sleeves to be shorter. It is supposed to be oversized, so I think it runs true to size. You can see how I styled the Ghita Blouse with jeans and layers in this post!

Since it’s still chilly here, I’m layering a sweater over my shoulders for extra warmth. I look forward to wearing these white spring outfits with fewer layers and sandals as it gets warmer!
