If there’s one piece you need for the holiday season it’s a velvet blazer. There’s something about it that just seems so festive! Of course, a black velvet blazer is classic but I LOVE the ones in jewel tones. Like this one from Topshop. Sadly, it sold out really fast but I found a super similar one here that’s just as gorgeous. I love that this blazer can give a more casual outfit a little extra glam. It’s also the perfect alternative to wearing a dress to holiday parties. I love to wear dresses during the holidays but sometimes you just want to throw on a pair of jeans and a nice blazer and head out the door!

I’ve rounded up some of my favorite velvet blazers here:

Outfit Details:
Topshop Velvet Blazer (similar)
H&M Blouse (similar)
Everlane Denim
Vasic New York Bag c/o (find it here)
Marc Fisher Booties
Ray-ban Sunglasses
BaubleBar Earrings c/o

Now onto Flashback Fashion Friday’s! Here’s a look from last December (can you believe it’s December already??). Speaking of blazers…I LOVE this one from J.Crew. It’s the Regent Blazer and I just love the cut. It’s a little bit of a splurge but I just waited around for a really good sale. I’m hoping they restock it in more colors soon! I also realized that my December posts from last year were very sparse because I was at the height of my morning sickness. Even looking through the photos from this time last year makes me feel queasy!

Your velvet blazer is beautiful, I can see why it sold out 🙂

Hope you are having a lovely week! I’m surprised it’s December already, but excited too, we are going to put up our Christmas tree this weekend.
