As I mentioned before, I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s day.  I’m not really into pink, or hearts, or bows, but I can appreciate dressing for the day! Although, I really can’t take any credit for this outfit.  I saw Elle from Living in Color wearing this exact same top and skirt together and thought it was so cute! I already had the top and had been eyeing this feathery skirt for months before I got it for Christmas.  So I couldn’t help but put them together.  I apologize for the blatant copying!  I debated whether to post this outfit or not.  But I thought I would just in case you hadn’t seen it on LIC…and I’m planning to wear it on V-Day so it’s what I wore. I thought the burgundy color top, fun skirt and bow belt were perfect for Valentine’s Day!  So definitely check out how Elle styled this outfit and follow her blog because she has amazing style!
Let’s talk feather skirts! They are very hard to find at a decent price! The similar skirts I linked above are beautiful and I would love them in my closet but I just can’t afford them! The one I’m wearing isn’t really feathers…just feathery. I found a DIY feather skirt here that I was going to try before I got the one I’m wearing!  I still might try to make a black one in the future.

  1. Those feather and faux feather skirts have been pretty interesting–they make a definite statement and have an appealing textural element. (: Maybe I'll find one I can't live without!
