These shots were taken at the Rose Garden next to the California Science Center! And there’s a few things I have to say about this outfit:

1) I know you’ve been seeing a lot of this skirt recently and it’s because…I love it! Really no other explanation.  The same goes for printed pants if you haven’t noticed.
2) There was a lady and two kids sitting on the bench right next to me but I decided to pose in front of them anyway.  On a bright sunny day good shade for picture taking is hard to find so I had to do it! Awkward
3) I bought another chambray shirt.  And it’s my second polka dotted chambray.  Do I have a problem?
4) This is my first time trying the tied blouse look.  Something I thought I’d never do.  I always felt like I would be exposing my midriff.  The solution: wear a high waisted skirt with a large band/belt.

And in other news, Megan (aka my sister and the other half of Jeans and a Teacup) is in California for a few days!  So maybe I’ll be able to get a few outfit photos of her on the blog soon.

  1. your first time knotting a shirt? well i think your world has changed, because knotting shirts is the perfect summer solution for giving a button down lots of shape and not having to deal with fussy tucking.

  4. I love wearing button down shirt tied like that. My solution for the tummy is usually wearing a cami underneath. The length of that skirt really suits you!
