Top 5 Farmacy Beauty Skincare Products to Buy

First, I want to note my skin type because it makes a big difference when choosing your favorite products. At almost 40 years old, I would say I have maturing skin that is slightly dry. When choosing skincare products, I look for hydrating and anti-aging ingredients. My skin is also very tolerant and handles ingredients like retinol and acids well. I’m currently using Tretinoin, so I also look for products that complement that.

Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer

As someone with drier skin who’s using tretinoin, my skin LOVES the Honey Halo Ceramide Moisturizer. Ceramides are great to use with retinol/retinal/tretinoin, and this rich, luxurious cream is packed with honey, ceramides, and fig extract to help lock in moisture, soothe dryness, and strengthen the skin barrier. The texture is lovely – thick but not greasy – making it perfect for those with dry or combination skin.

Farmacy Honey Halo Moisturizer for dry skin

The Honey Halo Moisturizer is a product I’ve re-ordered multiple times. I use it at night because it is a thicker moisturizer, but you can use it during the day as well. I just love the texture and how it makes my skin feel! The other cool thing about this product is that it comes in an eco-friendly glass jar with a super cute magnetic spatula that stays on top! No more losing those little applicators. A little goes a long way, but I feel like I go through the 50ml pot pretty quickly, so I think I need to upgrade to the 100ml jar.

There are a few things I wish Farmacy did differently with this product, though. I don’t like my skincare products in jars – even if they are cute. That type of container just exposes the product to air and germs. It comes with the applicator, but anything you have to stick into skincare (like fingers or a spatula) can cause contamination. It also has fragrance, which I’m not a fan of. It’s not that the scent is bad – it’s actually very light – it’s that I think fragrance is unnecessary and can potentially cause skin irritation.

Honey Cloud Lightweight Barrier Repair Moisturizer

Since writing this post, Farmacy has released a NEW moisturizer! I’ve been using the Honey Cloud Lightweight Barrier Repair moisturizer for a couple of months now, and I love it! It feels lighter than the Honey Halo moisturizer, which makes it great for warmer weather. It’s also Frangrance-Free!! Which is why I would recommend this moisturizer for people with sensitive skin. I actually might like the new Honey Cloud moisturizer better than the Honey Halo! If only they could change the packaging to a pump…then it would be perfect!

Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm

If there’s one Farmacy product you’ve probably seen all over Instagram, it’s the Green Clean Cleansing Balm – and for good reason! This balm is magic in a jar for removing makeup and sunscreen. It melts into your skin like butter and breaks down even waterproof mascara. Infused with sunflower and ginger root oils, this balm not only cleanses but also nourishes your skin.

I use the cleansing balm in my double cleanse routine. First, I rub the product on my dry face for a minute, then add a little water to help emulsify it and massage it into my skin. Then I rinse it off and follow with a simple gel cleanser. Even though I feel like the product rinses off well, I always follow up with a cleanser to make sure I got all of the product off.

Clearly Clean Balm

The only downside to this product is the added fragrance/color. Again, it’s a very light fragrance, and it does smell good. I just think it’s unnecessary. Farmacy actually addressed this and created Clearly Clean, which is free of fragrance, colorant/dyes, and essential oils (all things that can potentially irritate skin). BUT for some reason, I feel like the Clearly Clean doesn’t work as well as the original. I feel like it leaves a slight waxy film behind that even gets in my eyes sometimes and makes them blurry. I don’t know why this happens. I’m actually currently using the Cleary Clean balm because I ran out of the Green Clean, and it’s fine. But I feel like I have to really massage the product into my skin well to get it to break down dirt and oil.

Green Clean Juicy Gel Cleanser

Speaking of double cleansing with a gel cleanser, Farmacy just released their Green Clean Juicy Gel Cleanser! Now I can have a complete Farmacy double-cleansing routine! I haven’t tried this cleanser yet, but it looks really nice! I’ll update when I’ve had a chance to use it.

Honey Glow Resurfacing Night Serum

If you love waking up to radiant skin, the Honey Glow Resurfacing Night Serum is a must-have. This serum is formulated with a 14% AHA/BHA/Flower Acid blend that works overnight to gently exfoliate, smooth, and brighten your complexion. What makes this serum stand out is the inclusion of honey and hyaluronic acid, which help counteract the potential dryness that can come with exfoliating acids.

The Best Farmacy Products to Buy. Resurfacing Night Serum

One sign of aging skin is dull, uneven texture, and an exfoliating acid serum is a great way to combat that. I use this serum once a week at night on a day when I’m NOT using retinol/tretinoin. What I like about this serum is that it’s pretty strong. My skin doesn’t usually react to exfoliating acids because I’ve been using them for awhile but this one does tingle my skin a little bit! Usually I would say that’s bad, but the tingling doesn’t last long for me, and it makes me feel like the product is really working.

There aren’t really any cons for me on this product. I would just say that if your skin is more sensitive, you might want to try out a lower percentage of AHA/BHA’s first before trying this one.

Honey Milk Hydrating Essence

The Honey Milk Hydrating Essence is one of Farmacy’s newest products, and I actually wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. It’s the perfect addition to your regimen if you’re looking for an extra layer of hydration and nourishment. The formula is infused with Hawaiian white honey, ceramides, and oat milk, making it super soothing and perfect for calming any irritation or redness.

Hydrating Essence to soothe skin

I don’t usually use an ‘essence’ in my skincare routine, so I was excited to try this out. The consistency is milky – not too watery like a toner and not thick like a moisturizer. I apply this product after I spritz my face with toner and before my moisturizer. To apply it, I shake out several drops of the essence into my hand and press it into my skin. It feels slightly tacky at first, but eventually it absorbs. I feel like it hydrates my skin just enough to prep it for the rest of my skincare routine. I don’t have irritated skin, but this essence does feel really soothing to me.

1% Vitamin A Retinol Serum

If you’re looking to introduce retinol into your skincare routine but want something that’s gentle and effective, Farmacy Beauty’s 1% Vitamin A Retinol Serum is definitely worth trying. This serum combines the power of 2 retinoids – encapsulated retinol AND fast-acting retinal – with hydrating and soothing ingredients like ceramides and antioxidants to minimize irritation while delivering results.

I really liked the consistency of this Retinol – it’s creamy but lightweight. I’ve been using retinol products on and off for several years, so I didn’t have any irritation issues. As I mentioned above, I really like that this formula has two forms of Vitamin A. Retinal with an A is more potent than Retinol with an O and closer to Retinoic Acid, the strongest form of Vitamin A. I used this serum before I transitioned to a Retinal serum and then to Tretenoin.
