The Softest Wool Sweater
There aren’t many opportunities for me to wear sweaters here in California so I’ve been wearing all my favorites recently during this “rainy season”. One of the sweaters I’ve been wearing on repeat is this Oversized Alpaca Crew from Everlane.
The Softest Wool Sweater
Material
What makes this sweater so soft? It’s the Alpaca! Unlike wool, it’s not super itchy. I can wear this sweater directly on my skin without an undershirt. It still does have 10% wool but it’s not enough to cause a lot of itching. I also love that this Alpaca sweater is kind of fuzzy. It’s got a really nice, light texture. Everyone usually associates cashmere with being a really soft material but I say, go with the Alpaca! Everlane offers $100 cashmere but the Alpaca is even a little less at $95. I would definitely stock up on more!
Size and Fit
It’s called an “Oversized” sweater but I’m wearing the XS which is my usual size and I think it fits like a normal sweater. The sleeves do puff out a little bit but nothing crazy. If I ordered another one I would probably go with a small for a more oversized fit. I have my eye on the cool pink shade because pastel shades are trending right now.
How to Style
I kept things simple and paired the sweater with my Everlane jeans and a cool pair of “lace up” boots. Honestly, this is what I wear most of the time – a simple shirt/sweater and a pair of jeans. I also really like how Everlane layered a turtleneck in the same shade under the sweater. Sometimes the website styling is on point!

Now onto Flashback Fashion Friday! Here’s a look from last year. I can’t even believe I’m sharing looks from 2018. Why does time go so fast?! Anyway, I’m still so in love with this teddy coat (similar one here). It’s extremely cozy. Sadly, I haven’t gotten a chance to wear it recently because it was too bulky to pack for my trip to the east coast. So sad!
Love the sweater, but I am also staring at those gorgeous boots of yours! I love the detail!

This sweater look super soft and the color is beautiful! I like that it isn’t itchy like wool but it looks equally warm. Love your zippered/studded booties! So unique and totally fun!

I have the same sweater in black (I wore it in my outfit post last week) and I’m OBSESSED! It’s so soft and warm. Love!

Huh, and here I was thinking alpaca was what was making my sweaters more itchy! This one is so pretty, I love a soft grey sweater.
Chic on the Cheap
I love alpaca wool as material, it’s so soft! The way you styled the sweater here is effortlessly chic, I really like that. 🙂
It’s such a cute and cosy knit and it makes a nice simple outfit with the jeans 🙂
Thank you for the link up!
Hope that your week is going well! We are in the middle of another summer heatwave here in Australia!

Jessica, this looks like a super soft sweater and so cozy! I live where we need cozy sweaters for 8 months out of the year! Those boots are amazing, too! Love, love, love!
