Vee Dress Review
I was specifically looking for a sleeveless, V-neck knit dress with texture – very specific, I know. I was also hoping to find one that was ethically made that wasn’t sooo expensive. This ribbed knit dress from SHOPPES was a close contender but it was close to $400 and a cream color and I was hoping for something darker. Then I came across the cotton boucle Vee Dress in a beautiful cocoa color and fell in love!
Size and Fit
Measurements: 34-29-39, 130lbs, 5’7″
I was kind of confused on what size to order. The dress on the model looks really big and I didn’t want the dress to be that oversized. The dress comes in combined sizes – XS/S, M/L, XL/XXL. According to the size chart I’m a Small top and a Medium bottom. Since my upper body is more petite I decided to go with my smaller size and order the XS/S and I think it’s the perfect fit!
Like I said, I didn’t want the dress to be that loose – especially on my upper body – so I think taking my smaller size guaranteed a tighter fit. I think if you wanted the dress to look like it does on the model you could take your larger size. Even though the dress is an XS/S it doesn’t feel too tight. Even though it’s 100% cotton, there is some stretch to the material because it’s a knit.
I chose to add natural accessories to this outfit – straw hat and bag, and wooden clogs – to keep that earthy feel.
