The Last of Christy Dawn Summer + a Fall Preview!
It may not feel like summer is coming to an end, but in the fashion world, everyone has moved on to fall! I’ll be honest—fall is my favorite fashion season—but I’m still not ready to give up my summer dresses!! Luckily, I got to try the last of Christy Dawn Summer styles with the Truett Dress before fall styles drop!
The Last of Christy Dawn Summer: Truett Dress Review
Christy Dawn has released a new style: the Truett Dress, perfect for the end of summer! This tank-style dress has a scoop neck, adjustable waist and neck ties, and side pockets. So far, it’s only available in the Summer Harvest print which features red berries, light yellow carrots and flowers, and mint green leaves. The empire waist seam, waist tie, and neck tie are a beautiful contrasting red.
Size and Fit of the truett dress
My Measurements: 33-29-39, 135 lbs, 5’8″, 30D
I found the Truett Dress to run large. I’m wearing size small, my usual size, and there is still a lot of room to adjust it larger. Even though I’m between a size small and medium on the size chart, I could have definitely sized down to the XS! Luckily, this dress has an adjustable neck tie and waist tie, so I can still wear the size small. But I feel like there is extra fabric around my bust and waist, which poofs out in an unflattering way. But I’m probably just being picky.
Obviously, the Truett Dress looks great on it’s own with just a pair of sandals or summer flats. But when it starts to cool down, just add a cardigan and some socks to your flats and you’ll be good to go!

Christy Dawn Fall Preview
Ok, so I know it’s still summer and 80 degrees, but I’m really excited for fall fashion!! Fall is my favorite season, fashion-wise. I can’t resist the autumnal colors and cozy sweaters. Christy Dawn has just launched their Pre-Fall collection with more drops coming soon! I thought I’d share some of my favorites so far.

I mean, just look at all these gorgeous prints and knits! I need them all!! Right now I’m really loving the fall prints like Evergreen Apple Harvest, Slate Gingham, and Acorn Meadow. I actually have the Dawn Dress in the Apple Harvest print and it’s GORGEOUS! It’s perfect for fall days – especially apple picking!
There’s also a brighter apple print available called Candy Apple Print, which is also cute. I’m also loving the Slate Gingham print as a nice neutral print. It’s available in the Adelia Dress style, which is one of my favorites. And last but not least, the Acorn Meadow print! Not only is the print cute, it’s also slightly textured with a check fabric! I’m dying over the way Christy Dawn styled it with red socks and flats. Fall perfection! Prints are often released in different styles, so just search for the print name, and all the available styles will pop up!
And don’t sleep on Christy Dawn Knitwear. I picked up a few pieces last year and they are so soft and comfortable. I’m dying to get the Nola Cardigan to throw over my Christy Dawn Dresses for fall. And I absolutely LOVE the new Leandra Cardigan. I know that there is more knitwear to come so be sure to keep an eye out!
