The Christy Dawn Ghita Blouse: A romantic button-up shirt.

Christy Dawn’s Pre-Spring Collection recently dropped, and it has me pining for warmer weather. Lightweight cotton, floral prints, embroidered details…it’s all there! And while I didn’t go for one of the pretty dresses this time, I was able to style the romantic Christy Dawn Ghita Blouse, for today’s post!

The Christy Dawn Ghita Blouse

The Ghita Blouse is a romantic button-down with a loose, billowy fit and a ruffle trim around the collar. It’s simple but sweet, and made from soft, 100% organic cotton. It kind of reminds me of Doen’s popular Jane Blouse! I’m wearing size small, which is my usual Christy Dawn size.

I love how the Ghita Blouse is styled with Christy Dawn’s Perla Skirt on the website. The white midi skirt + white blouse combo epitomizes spring/summer dressing. I actually got this top hoping it would match with the Gabrielle Skirt I picked up last season. Sadly, the Gabrielle skirt has a more pinkish hue that doesn’t quite match the Ghita. I’m assuming the Perla Skirt (this year’s updated Gabrielle skirt) matches the hue of the Ghita Blouse so that you can wear them together.

Since the weather isn’t warm enough to wear a breezy skirt/blouse combo, I decided to layer the Ghita Blouse with sweaters instead! The collar on the Ghita Blouse is large enough to sit nicely over the neckline of sweaters, which looks really cute! I’m wearing it under my Sézane vest but Christy Dawn currently has a cute patchwork quilt vest that works too!

I finished off my look by adding a chic pair of dark wash jeans, mary janes, and a pair of bold glasses. I think the result is a little bit romantic, a little bit French, and a little bit preppy.

A quick note about the glasses: I do need prescription glasses but prefer wearing contacts during the day. I’ve always loved the look of bold frames so I decided to get a pair of blue light glasses instead! I LOVE this pair from peepers. They are a dark green shade and are the perfect accessory to most of my outfits!
