The Brooke Rain Resistant Boot from Freda Salvador
Remember when I said the Freda Salvador Brooke Boot was the only boot you need this fall? Well, I loved it so much I got another pair! Freda Salvador generously allowed me to pick another pair of fall shoes. I loved my brown Brooke Rain Resistant Boots so much that I wanted to get them in another color.
The Brooke Rain Resistant Boot Review
The Brooke Rain Resistant Boot was designed for comfort and durability. It’s made from 100% Italian water-resistant suede and a 2″ lightweight foam rubber lug sole. The elastic panels and back tabs allow you to easily slip them on and off. The Brooke Boot comes in 4 suede shades and 2 leather options.
Last year I got these boots in the brown suede and wore them with everything. They were my go-to boots for everyday wear. One of the reasons why these boots are so comfortable is that they are SUPER lightweight. I could not believe how light they were when I first pulled them out of the box. These boots are lighter than some of my flats and lighter BY FAR than any of my other boots.
This year I got the boots in Mink and I’m wearing size 8.5 – which is my usual Freda Salvador size. I have thin and narrow feet so these do feel a little loose width wise on me. But I just wear them with thick socks and they feel more secure.

I 100% recommend these boots. They are chic yet sturdy boots meant for rain or shine. I was really rough with my brown Brooke boots from last year but they’ve held up nicely. My only complaint is that the treads on the sole are large so rocks get stuck in them often. I have to make sure to take them off before I step on the hardwood floor because the stuck rocks will scratch them! But I also live in a rural area on a farm so I’m always walking through a lot of “nature” lol.
Styling the Brooke Boots with a Skirt
Since the weather is just starting to cool down I’m wearing my boots with a lot of skirts and dresses. I feel like the Brooke Boots in Mink are a little dressier than my brown Brooke Boots. The reason being they are lighter and monochromatic with the light sole and elastic panels. So I decided to pair them with a classier outfit. Usually, I would wear loafers with this midi skirt and blazer but I wanted to switch things up a little.
My Jenni Kayne Leopard Slip Skirt is a favorite year-round closet staple. In the spring I wear it with tanks and sandals. In the fall I wear it with sweaters and boots! This time I added my oversized Everlane blazer overtop my Sézane tank. In one of my previous posts you can see this skirt paired with a sweater – which would also look good with these boots!
