Sustainable Knitwear from St. Roche
About St. Roche
St. Roche is a sustainable, women-led brand based in Los Angeles. They work with ethical manufacturers in Peru, India, and LA to produce high quality pieces made from sustainable materials like GOTS certified cotton, linen, Tencel Modal, and alpaca from Peru. St. Roche works closely with artisans to incorporate traditional craft techniques like hand printing and hand embroidery into their clothes which is what makes them so special!
The Juniper Sweater from St. Roche
I chose the Juniper Sweater from St. Roche because I loved the floral embroidery and the stripes. Most of my sweaters are simple and neutral without a lot of detail so I loved the cute details on the Juniper Sweater!
The Juniper sweater is made from 56% Alpaca and 44% Pima Cotton. It’s very soft and plush, with a little bit of itch. I do have to wear a light shirt underneath. But overall, it’s very comfortable! I’m wearing the size small (my usual size) and I think it does run a touch small. If you are in-between sizes you should size up. Or if you want a looser fit you should size up. I think the small works fine for me since I wanted a more fitted sweater.
Even though this sweater is kind of “fancy” I think I can style it multiple ways! I love it paired with these high waisted denim trousers from Sézane. I also love to wear this sweater with a pair of tapered tan trousers.
I can tell this is a sweater I will have in my closet for awhile. It also comes in a cardigan version and vest version if that’s more your style. I’m also a huge fan of their popular Sissy Sweater. That sweater is definitely on my wish list!
