Sunny Floral

Cardigan, Dress, Tights, Shoes: Target (old), Necklace: GreenTeaJewels via Etsy, Bracelet: Jess LC, Purse: Coach Factory Outlet, Lips: L’Oreal Divine Wine
When I see the sun shining through my window I automatically think, “It’s a great time to take a photo!” You know those pictures you see on some blogs where you can literally see the rays of sun?! Well, that’s what I imagine when I’m standing in the sunshine and then I look at the actual photos and realize that, no, direct sunlight is not a good idea.  Direct sunlight = harsh shadows. Also, I was planning on wearing some really cute teal suede wedges (also from Target!) but the heel started clicking as I was about to walk out the door and I had to return them.  So I apologize that you are stuck looking at my old black flats.  I didn’t realize until I started writing this post that my whole outfit is basically from Target.  But I’m not going to apologize for that.

  1. Ugh. I think we owned the same pair of shoes because I recently bought a pair from there and had to return them because they were just so darn noisy!

  2. Go for that hour or so before sunset or after sunrise for the gorgeous light. Because that's sooo a convenient time of day for people, hehe. Regardless, your outfit is adorable!

  3. Lol the sun is my blog's worst enemy, nevermind the rain whenever I see harsh sunlight outside I think oh no, another outfit killer of a day. Your pics actually turned out quite well, your outfit doesn't look washed out at all. I love how you paired it with grey tights.

  4. And there is no realize to apologize! Where I work, there isn't a whole lot of fashion going around (oh academia) so I get asked ALOT where I shop and unabadashedly I tell them Target is pretty high on my list. I mean we'd all wear JCREW all the time if we could afford it right?
    Love your blog!

  5. Ugh, I do the same thing (Target outfits and wrong sunlight pictures!)I don't know about you, but having the time for photos at the EXACT time of sunset is not always possible:) You look great, love the floral dress!
