Happy Friday! I’m so happy for the long weekend. It makes it feel like summer vacation is almost here. I don’t have any set plans for the weekend but today is my 4th wedding anniversary! So my husband and I will probably go out to dinner. Sometimes I can’t believe it’s only our 4th one…we’ve been together since I was 16 – that’s 14 years guys! So I feel a little cheated with my wedding anniversary number…haha.
And I almost forgot that yesterday was my blog’s 3rd anniversary! I really can’t believe I’ve kept this thing going for 3 years. I had no idea when I started that I’d actually stick with it. I feel like one day I just woke up and decided I should start taking pictures of my outfits. I really didn’t know anything about blogging. I think I only followed one or two blogs – and now I follow over a hundred?! I’ve learned so much and am so thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had and all the people I’ve “met” through this online space. So thanks for following along!
Back to the outfit! I usually wait until pieces at J.Crew go on clearance…and then an extra 40% off but when I saw this skirt and crossbody bag I was too afraid my size would sell out before it went on clearance! So I bought both items during an online sale for 30% off. I really love both pieces and am happy I didn’t wait to pick them up – especially since the natural crossbody bag is sold out. It does come in other colors though!
Speaking of sales…you can get 30% off your order at J.Crew.com this weekend with code “WEEKEND”. P.S. This linen crossover wrap skirt is on sale plus the extra 30% off!
I thought it would be the perfect outfit to showcase my JORD watch again. Seriously, this watch could go with any outfit but I thought it would look great with my other neutral accessories. I forgot to mention in my last post that it came in beautiful packaging. It was wrapped around a herringbone pillow in a simple wood box which you can see below.
I also wanted to mention that when you pick out your watch online you have the option of getting it sized for an extra $10. I followed the measuring instructions but when my watch arrived it was a little too small. The extra links were included in my box though so I took it to a local watch retailer and in half an hour they were able to put on an extra link and it fit perfectly! So if you choose the sizing option on the website I would suggest measuring on the looser side.
