You can never have too many statement necklaces, right? This J.Crew Tortoise and Turquoise copycat is my latest addition.  It’s on sale right now for $158 but that’s still too step for me! So I went searching on etsy and came across this piece for $25! It looks exactly the same as the real thing! (It even has the J.Crew charm on the clasp).  Now, the downside is that it took a long time to get here (over 2 weeks).  It is coming from China after all! And some of the jewels aren’t glued in properly and kind of stick out from their setting.  So you get what you pay for I guess.  Although, you can’t tell from just looking at it.  It was only after careful examination that I noticed the imperfections.  And like I said, I can’t spend $158 on a necklace! 

Oh, and this striped chambray was a steal from J.Crew during their 40% off clearance sale – less than $20 bucks baby!
I like to mention the items that I find on sale because I used to think it was impossible for me to buy things at places like J.Crew.  Their regular priced items are way out of my price range.  But I’ve started to pay more attention to sales (or search the internet for copycats) and now I have a small collection of J.Crew items that didn’t cost an arm and a leg.  So I’m just letting you know it is possible!

  13. I love this outfit – the shorts are so cute! I am with you on the J Crew sale..i find that the stores have better pricing on the marked down items and have picked up some great deals that way.

    I've bought some copycat necklaces from Groopdealz and can't really complain for the price I paid. I did have one arrive damaged and they refunded my money right away.
