I was kind of excited about this outfit because I like printed pants and I like lavender so I thought the combination would be awesome! But then I saw the pictures and kinda feel like this is a “mom outfit”. But not like a cool mom. Like a mom in her 40’s that is married to a man who golfs a lot. Now, I’m not necessarily saying that country club mom’s aren’t cool, it’s just not the look I was going for. I can’t even put my finger on it. It may be the relaxed fit of these cropped pants. Or the white button up under the pastel sweater. Oh well!

I think you look great – the lavender is really pretty on you. I have the same problem though – I put on an outfit, and I remind myself of a soccer Mom, driving around in a mini-van. Maybe it's the shoes – I like to switch out for some modern sneakers (a pair of converse, maybe?) to add something different, yet still comfy, and a little more edgy than sandals.
