Rouje Gabin Dress from Summer to Fall

If you’ve read my blog before, you know I’m a huge fan of the Rouje Paris Gabin Dress. I’ve done several reviews and have collected about 8 different prints over the years! The latest edition to my collection is the Gabin Dress in a Raspberry Floral Print, which is new for fall. Even though this looks like a summer dress, it can easily be styled for fall!

Rouje Gabin Dress Review

I’m a sucker for a red dress, so when this new floral print dropped, I jumped on it! It just feels so French-Girl chic! I’ve done a more detailed review of the size and fit of the Gabin dress in this post, so I won’t go into too much detail. I’m wearing the size 40. I recommend sizing up in the Gabin Dress if you are between sizes. It’s a little big on my chest and shoulders, but perfect around my hips. The Gabin Dress will shrink if you hand wash it, so keep that in mind. I recommend dry cleaning this dress if you don’t want it shrinking. I dry cleaned my last Rouje Gabin Dress, and it came out looking like new!

Obviously, this dress is perfect for spring and summer. But you don’t have to put it away in the fall and winter! With layering and the right accessories and textures, you can pretty much wear this dress year-round. I’ve already started “fall-ifying” this dress by adding a suede bag. Suede is one of the textures I turn to in the fall – it just feels cozy! We are just entering September, and the weather is still warm, so I kept my woven ballet flats.

Rouje Jacques Jacket Review

As we transition into cooler weather, my favorite way to style a summer dress for fall is by adding a wool blazer. The Jaques Jacket is a Rouje classic and just dropped in this Grey Herringbone print with maroon and blue stripes. I LOVE a wool blazer, and this one from Rouje is really nice. It’s cut to be oversized, but I found that my usual size 40 wasn’t too big. If you want a really noticeable oversized fit, size up.

While I do love the fit and sturdiness of this blazer, I’m not thrilled that it’s a wool blend. To be fair, it does contain 70% wool, but for the price, I’d like it to be 100%.

I’m wearing a pair of ladylike pumps from Sezane, but I suggest adding loafers to complement the blazer and give this look a more menswear-inspired vibe for fall. Cute, ruffled ankle socks are a good idea too! Check out my How to Style Oversized Blazers post if you are looking for more outfit ideas!
