I like my holiday outfits to be more subtle and something I feel I could wear on other days of the year.  I feel this outfit is festive with the red, white and blue stripes but not over the top.  And I have to mention how much I love these wedges.  They are seriously SO comfortable.  I’m definitely going to be wearing them all summer long.  I almost bought this version at Gap, which are also really comfortable.

Does anyone have any fun plans for the 4th of July? I feel like California isn’t really into this holiday.  I think it’s more of an east coast thing.  Back in my hometown in Pennsylvania there’s actually space to run around with sparklers and shoot off fireworks in the backyard.  We’re hoping to find a good place to watch fireworks here though!

  1. I just looked at this dress last week and thought, hmm…. when can I wear this? Gorgeous on you and with that red lipstick and everything else. I love the subtly of it. It's how I feel on the Fourth as well. I pinned a bunch of trashy Fourth Looks yesterday as a joke. It just abounds and I don't understand it.

  2. I am all about subtle holiday dressing. Love this dress on you and how you styled it. I agree that the 4th is not that big here. I think the only place that I know has a big celebration is in Huntington Beach. They have a big parade in the morning and lots of fireworks at night. We will most likely do a family BBQ then head out to our local high school to watch the fireworks.
