Polka Dot Midi Dress Under $100

I can’t say no to polka dots. It’s a classic print that never really goes out of style. I was actually surprised when I realized that I didn’t have a black and white polka dot dress in my wardrobe! Luckily, & Other Stories had this cute polka dot number that was exactly what I was looking for!

This dress is pretty simple with some cute, feminine details like cap sleeves and a high waistline. If you have a smaller torso, like I do, cap sleeves are great because they give the illusion of broader shoulders which helps balance out my figure. I have a slightly more hourglass shape in this dress because of the sleeves, which I’m not mad about! I also think the side slit is just enough sexy to make this a great date night outfit too.

How to Style A Polka Dot Dress

I dressed up this dress by adding strappy sandals, a red lip, and mini bag. But I could totally see someone wearing this dress with sneakers – see here, here, and here. A pair of converse or chunky dad sneakers would work well. Speaking of dad sneakers – Everlane just released their sustainable sneaker. It definitely has a retro, dare I say – geriatric, look to it but that’s kind of what’s in style now…haha. I was gifted a pair and I actually do like them. But I’ll have a full review later.

I recently wore this look during out staycation at The Langham. All we did was pretty much lounge around, walk the gorgeous grounds, and eat! We went out to a nice dinner at the hotel every night so I had plenty of excuses to dress up. It was actually a little chilly so I threw on my Musier Cardigan you can see more of in this post. It’s the perfect light layer over dresses as well!

  1. Gorgeous dress! I’ve always thought a midi dress would make me look short but they always look so cute and romantic, I’m gonna have to try one out and see how it fits. Although I like the idea of styling it with sneakers, I think I’d have to go down the same route you took and go for heels or wedges (again, I wouldn’t want to look short…)
