I just love finding things on sale. Especially shoes because they can be so expensive.  And when I’m looking for quality shoes at an amazing price I go to DSW. Seriously, I got these genuine suede oxfords for $20! I thought I’d add a blazer to this outfit to compliment the menswear style oxfords.

And notice the layers?! It actually RAINED yesterday. Gah! It gave me flashbacks to my time in northern Ohio….haha.  I still haven’t recovered and don’t like the rain even though it hardly ever rains in SoCal.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend! I’m going to see the LEGO movie and attend a Stella and Dot party!

But before I head off to weekend festivities I’d like to introduce you to my latest sponsor – Natalia from natyloren. Check out her blog for great, fashion, beauty and lifestyle posts. She also has some great giveaways going on right now so be sure to check it out!

  1. I can't imagine what I must be like to have a grey rainy day be a rarity. It's pretty much a way of life here, even if the day starts out bright and sunny, it's quite likely to become dark and gloomy without a moments notice.

I love getting a great deal on a nice pair of leather shoes! The best, the best!

  2. Thanks for joining the Friday's Fab Favorites link up! I'm a co-host this week and I'm trying to read every post! Your outfit is total perfection, I think I could put together a perfectly coordinating outfit, I have pants that are the same color as your blazer and an awesome pair of rose gold oxfords! I'm trying not to wear them with all the ice, slush and salt though!

  3. I love your menswear inspired look, Jessica! From the stripes, to the button up shirt, to the statement necklace to the shoes – you hit all the marks. This is the very best combination of masculine + feminine 🙂

p.s. – I'm still catching up on Community, but in the one episode I've watched so far I'm pretty sure I was able to spot you! I even showed my boyfriend your blog before we started so he could look for you, too. Very exciting stuff for us! haha

  4. It's definitely been on the cooler side these past few days (especially at nights) and layers are kind of necessary for us So-Cal chickens lol! I love how the oxfords set the tone for the outfit! Great look girl! I haven't worn my oxblood blazer in a looooong time….I needed this refresher on how to style it!

  5. This is such a cute preppy look! I know that rain was much needed, but I still didn't like it. Us Angelinos are so spoiled when it comes to perfect weather. Sometimes I forget that my friends and family back east are covered in snow right now!
