New In Beauty: Merit Signature Lip Liner + Great Skin Minis!

My minimalist makeup routine almost entirely consists of Merit Beauty products, so I’m always excited when new products launch! There have been quite a few new products and shades that have dropped since I did my extensive Merit Beauty Review so I thought I’d do a quick update featuring the NEW Merit Signature Lip liner and Great Skin Minis!

Merit Signature Lip Liner

Considering my makeup routine is quite minimal, I was uncertain about trying Merit’s new Signature Lip Liners. I don’t really like a bold, outlined lip. However, since Merit has consistently impressed me, I chose to test them out. The Lip Liners are described as hydrating and buildable with sheer coverage, so I figured they wouldn’t be too intense.

I first chose the cool pink color ” Coupe” and LOVED it! I was impressed that it felt hydrating and went on so smoothly. I think it gives my lips soft definition while still looking natural. I prefer to fill in most of my lip with the pencil instead of just lining because I think it helps my lipcolor last longer. The second color I chose was the soft peach pink color “Beverly Hills”. This color closely matches my lip color, so you can’t really tell I have liner on. I love this shade for a nude lip look.

NEW Merit Shade Slick Sheen

I always pair my Signature Lip Liner with Merit’s lip colors! For my daily look, I prefer the Merit Shade Slicks. I own a few of the Classic Shades and one of The Geléels, and I really love them. Recently, though, Merit released The Sheens – an updated formula that offers a light color with a pearlescent finish. I picked up the cool baby pink shade “Pointelle” and it’s turned out to be my favorite Shade Slick! I didn’t think I would like the pearly finish but it’s so subtle that you can’t really tell. Like the name suggests, it gives lips a nice sheen that still looks natural!

Merit Great Skin Minis

The Merit Great Skin Instant Glow Serum and Great Skin Priming Moisturizer have been out for a bit but they are now available in 15ml mini sizes! These arrived at the perfect time for me as I was about to go on a week-long trip to California. They were the perfect size to pack in my carry-on. They are significantly smaller than the full-size versions, which makes them ideal to take on trips.

If you usually don’t prime or moisturize your face before applying makeup, then I believe the Great Skin duo is perfect for you. Both the serum and moisturizer are lightweight and hydrating, providing the perfect base for the other Merit products. I do notice a difference with my makeup application after using the serum and moisturizer.

You can see from the above photos that The Great Skin Serum + Moisturizer gives skin a nice glow and blurs imperfections!
