Natural Skincare with DERMA E

Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to hang out with DERMA E at their #ZenintheBev party! It was located at a super posh mansion in the hills of Beverly Hills and it was fun to pretend that it was my pad for the day! DERMA E treated us to fun spa treatments like massages, facials, skin mapping, and more AND we got to hang out by the pool and enjoy the incredible views! I also got to learn more about this natural, and affordable, skincare line!

About DERMA E Natural Skincare

DERMA E is a Southern California based skincare brand that creates 100% vegan, cruelty free products that don’t contain parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil, artificial colors, gluten, soy or GMOs. They are also an eco-ethical company that cares about sustainability and their impact on the environment. So you can understand why I’m so excited about this brand! This is a skincare line right up my alley!

One of the treatments I got at the party was a skin mapping analysis. That’s where a machine scans your skin and can tell you things like how old your skin looks on the surface compared to your actual age, how much skin damage you have, if you have any dry areas, etc. So it was really interesting (and also kind of scary…haha). Luckily, my skin turned out to be about a year younger than my actual age (yay!) and I don’t have a lot of skin damage on the surface (it’s all waiting for me under the surface…yikes!). The technician was then able to recommend some products from the DERMA E line that would most benefit my skin.

I got a facial with the DERMA E products. The esthetician also gave me recommendations of what products to use on my skin. So I’m excited to start incorporating these products into my routine!

You can read about my current skincare routine here.

My DERMA E Skincare Routine

In general, they recommended I use a Hydrating Cleanser and an SPF Moisturizer. The skin mapping technician and the esthetician also recommended that I use the Advanced Peptides and Collagen Serum (to help with aging) and the Vitamin C Concentrated Serum (to help with brightness). They also suggested the Tea Tree and E Oil to spot treat any acne. And finally, the esthetician recommended I use the AHA Overnight Peel three times a week and also the Glycolic Acid Toner.

I currently have a gentle cleanser, SPF moisturizer and Vitamin C Serum in my skincare routine already. But I think I do need to add the Collagen Serum, Glycolic Acid Toner and AHA peel to my routine. Collagen is important for your skin’s tone and texture, Glycolic Acid helps remove dead skin cells, and AHA acts like an exfoliant without damaging the skin. I don’t currently use an exfoliant so the Glycolic Acid or AHA peel would be something I need to add to my routine!

I will say that if you are looking for a skincare brand with affordable prices and high quality ingredients then DERMA E is a winner! For example, I use the Biossance Vitamin C oil and it costs $72. The DERMA E Vitamin C Serum costs $24.50! And they both use a form of stabilized form of Vitamin C which is the most important thing to look for in a Vitamin C Serum.

Cup Me Therapy

I also got an amazing massage from April from Cup Me Therapy. She did vacuum cupping on me which is similar to cupping but doesn’t end up leaving you with those dark marks. Apparently vacuum cupping is relatively new so it was fun to try it out! My neck has been really sore and stiff for the last couple months and she really helped loosen it up. I would definitely recommend her massages if you are in the LA area!

I also got vegan ice cream from Frozen Fruit Co, Kombucha from The Bubble Tap Trailer and lots of fun picture opportunities! It was such a fun day and I’m still dreaming about it! I always pinch myself that I’m able to attend some of these events. Thanks DERMA E!
