My Favorite Products from April
oNecklace
You know I love my gold jewelry so when oNecklace asked to collaborate I was excited! They sell the cutest personalized jewelry at really affordable prices! I feel like personalized jewelry was popular back when I was a kid but I never actually had one. So it’s fun to be able to pick one up now! It was actually hard to pick a favorite because there are so many options but I decided to go with a name necklace. Then I had a hard time deciding what name or initials to use…haha. But I ultimately went with my baby boy’s name – “Harrison”.
I also loved that there were so many options to customize the necklace. You can pick your metal – sterling silver, gold plating, and even 14K gold! You can also pick the size of the letters, and style and size of the chain. I decided to go with the Classic Name Necklace – delicate size, 24K gold plating, with a 16″ gold plated box chain. It’s a great necklace for layering but it also looks perfect on it’s own. I love wearing Harrison’s name and Harrison actually loves looking at it too! He’s starting to recognize letters so he likes looking at his own name.
Right now oNecklace is having a Mother’s Day sale! There are TONS of personalized jewelry options to choose from – not just necklaces – so you’ll be sure to find something that your Mom would love!
Facebook Portal
Ok, technically I didn’t just get this product this month BUT the Facebook Portals are ON SALE right now so I figured I should talk about how much I love and use this product.
I first started using the portal back in November when I partnered with them to do a sponsored post for Instagram. The Portal is Facebook’s Smart Video Device that lets you make video calls and so much more. I was really interested in the product because we live across the country from all of our family so video chatting is a must – especially with Harrison so he can see his grandparents! But what’s special about Facebook’s Portal is the Smart Camera. It’s really the coolest thing! When you are on a video chat the camera can follow you around the room, zooming in and out to make sure you are always in frame. That means I can move around the kitchen or chase Harrison around the room and I’ll always be in view! Plus, the Portal has Alexa built in, tons of apps, and is wifi enabled so you can even browse the internet! I also use it to display recipes when I’m cooking.
I love this device so much that we bought one for my Mother-in-Law and my Mom – and they both love it! It comes in two sizes – I’m using the large one in the photo but my MIL and Mom both have the smaller one. The large one is definitely cool because of the large screen that can rotate horizontal or vertical but it’s almost a little too big for our small apartment. I probably would have preferred the smaller size. And right now both of the Portals are ON SALE but the small size is only $99 (originally $199) through Mother’s Day! It really would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift!
You can use the portal to chat with anyone who can use Facebook Messenger to video chat so you don’t both have to have a Portal. I’ve been able to chat with my Mom through the FB Messenger App on her ipad and my sister through the app on her phone BUT it definitely is better video quality if you are both using a Portal. I’d recommend getting one for you and one for your loved one.
I would say the only downside is that you can’t use it as a tablet because the screen is attached to the stand and it also has to be plugged in to work. So it’s not as portable as a tablet.
Rouje Lip Palette
I’ll be honest – I bought this lip palette mainly for the design of the case! I really love the vintage inspired gold case. It looks so pretty on my vanity! BUT once I tried the lip colors I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the colors. There isn’t much of a description of the colors on the Rouje website so it was kind of a gamble if the colors would work with my pale skin. Technically, this is a lip, eye, and cheek palette so you can use the colors all over your face!
There is a bright red, brownish rose, dark plum, and deep red included in the palette. I’m not sure if any of the palette colors are the same or similar to the Rouje lipstick shades because the palette colors don’t have names. But what I like about the palette is you can mix the colors to get the perfect shade. The colors are smooth, blendable, and buildable. The consistency is similar to a cream/tint. My favorites are the bright red and brownish rose but I have tried them all and they all work – even with my pale skin!
This palette is pretty reasonably priced at $45 US dollars – however – shipping is usually around $30 regardless of your order size so I ordered the palette along with other Rouje pieces to make it worth it to pay $30 for shipping. This palette has sold out quickly in the past so I wouldn’t wait to long to order it! I also wanted to order this cute pouch to go along with it but it’s sold out at the moment.
ThirdLove Bra
I’ve been a loyal Victoria’s Secret bra wearer for YEARS. But ever since I heard about the response from VS execs about diversity I’ve decided to switch over to ThirdLove. Not only do they have GORGEOUS bras but they are all about size and body shape diversity. Their sizes range from A to I cups and they even have half sizes!
I’ve been struggling to find a bra that fits ever since having Harrison. Due to breastfeeding my boobs are now completely different sizes…lol. This is the case for a lot of women and ThirdLove takes that into account with some of their bra styles! After taking the bra Fit Finder quiz I was able to find bra styles that would work with my shape. I picked out the 24/7 Classic T-Shirt bra (it was gifted to me) and I couldn’t be happier! I got a size to fit my larger boob but it still looks great against my boob that’s probably almost a full size smaller!
They also have a generous return policy where you can try any bra – wear and wash it for 60 days – and if you still don’t like it you can send it back.
Those are my picks for April! Do you have a favorite?
Hi Jessica
I bought 2 Thirdlove bras and really liked the fit finder! They are soft and comfortable and don’t press in on my ribs or hurt my shoulders. Plus they are very pretty! Love the lip pallete, so pretty!
Enjoy your week!

Those seem like amazing things, I always struggle to find bras because my boobs are kinda small and my ribcage is small too so sometimes bras are really tight and hurt my ribs but if they were bigger they’d be too big on my boobs so I’m definitely gonna check out that brand you mentioned.

Yes! I always had a hard time because too because I have a smaller ribcage. But ThirdLove goes down to a 30 band so I’m sure you could find something that works!
