Hope everyone had a great weekend! I mentioned on Friday that I had to go in for jury duty…but the good news is I was there for about an hour and then they released us! Thank goodness! On Saturday I had my usual clarinet rehearsal and then a pizza/smores/movie party with friends.  Sunday I went on a chocolate walking tour around Beverly Hills.  I’ve lived in LA for over two years now but have never actually walked around Beverly Hills.  So I guess I can check that off my list now!
This outfit made me kind of uncomfortable when I first put it on.  I’m wearing a brown (faux) leather jacket with an otherwise black outfit.  And the hardware on my jacket is silver and my skirt zippers and bracelet are gold.  Scandalous! For some reason I always felt that brown shouldn’t be worn with black and silver and gold jewelry couldn’t be mixed.  There’s really no good reason for that so I’m trying to break out of my comfort zone.  What do you think?

  1. I really like all the mixing….black and brown is one of my favorite color combos!!! Way to step out of your comfort zone…you did well, lady!!! Thanks for putting on your blog love list!!! Made me smile!!!

  2. You are so cute in that little tweed skirt! I used to feel the same way about black and brown, but I've started wearing my brown riding boots with black. I'm seeing it all over the place, so I guess it works. =)
