I threw this together recently because I was looking for an outfit to compliment the new Clare V. bag that I just got. Turns out, it’s one of my new favorite outfits! It’s simple, comfortable, and chic. The perfect minimalist summer outfit!
Minimalist Summer Outfit
Clare V. Pot de Miel Bag
The star of this outfit is the Clare V. Pot de Miel bag! I love that this bag is a statement piece while still being neutral. The Pot de Miel is a top handle basket bag made of natural straw fibers. The handle is removable so you can switch it out for a longer strap if you’d like! It’s also available in a simple cream version but I like the natural checker! It does fit quite a bit – wallet, keys, phone, and other small items.
Horseshoe Jeans + Black Tank
I wanted to keep the rest of my outfit simple to show off the bag so I paired it with my black Sézane tank and horseshoe jeans. I find that these horseshoes jeans are pretty breezy so I don’t mind wearing them in the summer. But if it’s really hot you can switch them out for a pair of relaxed denim shorts. I also really like the horseshoe jeans in the tan Dorian shade. I think that pair would look great with this outfit too! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend the Citizens of Humanity Horseshoe jeans. I’ve gotten a surprising amount of wear out of them. They are actually pretty versatile! You can see my full review of the Citizens of Humanity Horseshoe jeans here.
I have several tanks from Sézane and I find them sturdy and comfortable. This particular tank isn’t bra friendly so I have to use sticky cups. I actually love wearing sticky cups. I find them really comfortable. I was using cheap Amazon sticky cups but I just got some from Gatherall that work even better. These are definitely higher quality and aren’t translucent like the Amazon version.
I layered some of my chunkier gold chain necklaces and added my gold link bracelet to add a little bling to my look. The gold coin necklace from Missoma is one of my favorites for layering, along with this chain link necklace. My solid gold chain link bracelet is from Kinn Jewelry and one of my favorite everyday pieces.
