Menswear Inspired Outfit
I’m loving that I’ve been able to wear non-maternity pieces so far this pregnancy. It helps when you have a lot of loose, boxy pieces in your wardrobe already! And this shirtdress definitely fits the bill. It’s got a lot of room to grow and the tied front actually helps to show off the bump a little bit! This exact dress is sold out but here’s a similar style that’s less than $60 and an almost identical a-line shirtdress that’s less than $30!
A shirtdress has a menswear inspired feel to it so I decided to follow through on that theme for the whole outfit. A classic trench coat is also something that both men and women can wear and my Everlane loafers also have that menswear feel. I love that the patent leather shine of these loafers gives any outfit a more dressed up feel which is why I think they pair nicely with dresses.
And I have to talk about trench coats for a moment. I picked up this J.Crew one last year while I was trying to fill some holes in my closet. I love it but it is pretty pricey at just under $300 (I did get it on sale though). But lucky for you Everlane JUST came out with a classic trench coat that’s less than half the price! If the Everlane version had been available last year I totally would have gone with it. Everlane just sent me the navy trench and I’ll be doing a full outfit post/review on it soon. But if you are interested, the Everlane trench is more lightweight/less stiff and has more of a relaxed fit than the J.Crew trench. But it’s still made of 100% cotton and really high quality!

I love that despite all these pieces having a masculine feel to them, this outfit is still soft, airy and girly. I love the shirtdress and looing forward to seeing your Everlane trench coat, too. =) You do minimalistic neutrals so well, Jessica. =)
Welcome by and linkup with me on Thursdays, too. A new linkup just went live. Come share your awesome style with me and my readers. Thanks and have a great week! =))

I have never been that much into menswear until recently, and now I’m obsessed! I’m starting to fill up my closet with loafers and button ups and these black loafers are really cute! They look great with your dress and I’d love to wear them with distressed jeans, too.
