I’m a sucker for a matching set, as it instantly elevates an outfit. Matching sets are perfect for those days when you want to look stylish without putting in much effort! Recently, I’ve noticed a lot of matching sets for summer from Sézane, so I had to pick one up to try out!

Ava Top and Soelle Skirt

It was love at first sight with this matching crop top and midi skirt. I thought the floral print was STUNNING and reminded me of a summer vacation. I’m not usually a fan of bright orange on me but the pattern still had a vintage feel to it so I thought I could pull it off.

Size and Fit

Even though I ordered this set in March, there are still sizes available! And if you aren’t a fan of this print, the Ava Top and Soelle Skirt do come in other colorways. I had to size down to a size 4 for the skirt – it runs large! I found the top to be more true to size. I took a size 4, which is my smaller size for tops. This set is part of their Occasion Collection (aka Editions Collection)—featuring their more formal pieces—and I have found that items from this collection run large.

My only critique of this set has to do with the fabric content. It feels like a heavier linen, which I love. But it’s only 55% linen and the rest is Viscose. I would have preferred if this were a linen cotton blend instead, especially for the price. I’m just not a fan of how viscose washes and wears. I know it’s technically still a natural fabric, but I just think it’s a cheaper material.
