As the weather warms up I find myself gravitating toward light, airy fabrics – like linen! It’s the perfect spring/summer fabric. It’s durable, breathable, and meant to look lived in. So in preparation for warmer, sunnier days ahead, I’ve rounded up my favorite linen dresses for spring and summer!
Linen Dresses for Spring and Summer
Linen is naturally a more sustainable fabric choice. But I’m also happy to say that the brands I mention below are either more ethical fashion brands or committed to more sustainable production.
Rachel Pally Linen Doreen Dress Outfit
The newest addition to my closet is the Linen Doreen Dress from Rachel Pally. I’ve had my eye on this dress for a year and finally decided to pull the trigger during a recent sale. This dress has some of my favorite elements like puff sleeves and a square neckline. It’s a linen/rayon blend so it’s a little less stiff than a 100% linen dress. I’m wearing size XS and it juuust fits. I probably could have fit in the small but I wanted a slightly tighter fit and I was worried it would be too loose around the chest/shoulders. For reference my measurements are 33-27-37.

Janessa Leoné Straw Hat
I accessorized the dress with my new Janessa Leoné Agnes hat. I think this hat is the perfect mix of romantic and modern. It’s a simple straw boater with leather ties. Janessa Leoné hats are pricey but I got this one on major sale! I think it’s the perfect summer hat. The only downside is it doesn’t have an adjustable band around the rim. I was in between a size small and medium so I decided to size up. It’s a little loose on me so I’ll have to add some hat spacer foam. I usually buy my hats from Kin the Label because they are more affordable and have an adjustable band! They are very similar in style to Janessa Leoné hats but there aren’t as many styles to choose from.
Reformation Linen Dresses
Reformation always has a gorgeous selection of dresses and right now there are a lot of linen dresses to choose from. I’m really tempted to pick up this puff-sleeve dress and this green linen dress. The question is – how many puff sleeve dresses is too much??

Kara Thoms Boutique Linen Dresses
Kara Thoms Boutique is a small family run business and the pieces are handmade in small quantities by skilled artisans. These pieces are a little pricier but obviously high quality, ethically made, and meant to last. The Bellflower Dress is my favorite and made from 100% linen.

Sleeper Linen Dresses
I’ve been obsessing over the Sleeper dresses for awhile now and one day I’ll add one to my collection! I do have one of their linen pajama sets and it feels amazing. I think technically these dresses are meant to be worn as sleepwear or as day dresses – so they can do double duty!
