Everlane Linen Blazer
You know I loooove my blazers so of course I had to pick up a lighter one for spring/summer! Luckily, Everlane just realeased their oversized linen blend blazers! I was lucky enough to get my hands on one and it didn’t disappoint. I love it because it’s a blend of linen, lyocell, and cotton, so it’s not as stiff as 100% linen. It has a nice drape to it and doesn’t wrinkle as badly as linen usually does. The blazer comes in 3 colors – bone, dusty blue, and black. I picked up the white one because I thought it would look great paired with jeans. Plus white just about goes with everything!
It is oversized so if you want a more fitted look and are in between sizes definitely size down. I’m usually a 0 or 2 and went with the 00. The blazer is definitely still oversized in the body area but the shoulders and underarm area are a little tighter with the 00 that I’m wearing. If I wanted to wear this blazer with light sweaters I probably should have taken the size 0 so it wouldn’t be too tight. But since I’m wearing this mostly with camis the smaller size is fine. It just depends on how you like your blazers to fit. It is pretty long too. I’m 5’8″ and it still covers my butt. This blazer also has a modern, straight cut and doesn’t cinch in at the waist at all.
How to Style a Linen Blazer
Since a linen blazer gives off a more casual vibe I love to pair it with jeans. I mean, what CAN’T you wear with jeans?! But I also think this blazer would look great paired with slacks. I would probably go for a fitted style like these work pants since the blazer is oversized. I don’t need to dress up for the office so this spring you’ll find me wearing this blazer with these cropped gingham pants. I just ordered them and can’t wait to wear them with this blazer!
Don’t forget about dresses! Since I live in mild weather year round, blazers have become sort of like outerwear for me. I love to wear them as a light layer. I’ll definitely be wearing this blazer over some of my light spring/summer dresses for when it’s a little chilly outside. This blazer would look so chic with this silky slip dress!
Last but not least, I pair my linen blazers with shorts when the weather heats up a little bit. I would go for a long pair since this blazer is pretty long and I don’t want to cover up my shorts completely. I think the shorts/blazer combo screams “vacation mode”. Accessorize with a straw hat and a pair of espadrilles and you’re ready for vacation!

Now onto Flashback Fashion Friday where I flashback to what I was wearing last year around this time! It’s fun to see how my style has changed (or stayed the same). Here’s a look from last April. I looove green dresses and this one started my obsession. I actually got it used from a blogger’s closet!
