Jenni Kayne Cove Dress Review
I’m a HUGE fan of Jenni Kayne summer dresses. They are simple, elegant, and comfortable. I find myself reaching for them over and over during the spring and summer. I currently have the Summer Dress, Riviera Slip Dress and Leopard Slip Dress. I recently added the Cove Dress to my collection so I thought I’d share my Jenni Kayne Cove Dress Review!

Jenni Kayne Cove Dress Review
I was attracted to the Cove Dress because it just looked really comfortable! I love dresses with an empire-style waist because it allows my belly to expand…haha. The description on the website says this dress can go from brunch to the beach and I totally believe that!
Dress Details
Details of the Jenni Kayne Cove dress is 100% cotton with a polyester lining and also includes adjustable thin straps, and pockets. The cotton is soft yet crisp, and with the voluminous skirt and lining, the dress does have some weight to it. This dress does have a low V-neck which is something to be aware of if you don’t like to show cleavage. You are able to raise the neckline slightly due to the adjustable straps. The other thing I want to mention is that this dress doesn’t have a zipper and is not stretchy. So in order to get it on you’ll need to slip it on over your head.
Jenni Kayne Sizing
My measurements: 34-29-39, 30D, 130lbs, 5’8″
I’m wearing the size XS in the Cove Dress. I would say Jenni Kayne dresses do run large. My usual size is Small but I took an XS in the Riviera Slip Dress as well. I have noticed that the Jenni Kayne “style” is oversized and you’ll notice that the dress does look loose on the models. I prefer a slightly tighter fit around my bust so I decided to size down. I think the dress fits me perfectly – it’s slightly more fitted in the bust area but still not tight. I was able to wear the dress with a padded bra and it still fit. I would say that if you have a large bust or wider rib cage you can probably take your true size. Otherwise, I think it’s a safe bet to size down.
I chose the Cove Dress in Navy because I have two small children and don’t want stains to show! But this dress is also available in a light French Blue which is lovely.
How to Style the Cove Dress
I chose to style the dress with the Jenni Kayne Cotton Cocoon Cardigan, which I think is the perfect compliment! You can wear wear it like a regular cardigan or drape over your shoulders for a preppy vibe. I’ve also worn this dress with a denim jacket.
Straw accessories look great with this dress which is why I chose the Sézane Justine Tote. A straw hat from Kin the Label would also look amazing. Simple flat sandals like my Nisolo slides or any of the Jenni Kayne sandals would also compliment this dress nicely.

Jenni Kayne has a great selection of simple, yet elegant summer dresses. The Leopard Slip Dress and The Seersucker Summer Dress are my favorites. They are on heavy rotation during the summer!
