How to Style Track Pants + Le Tanneur Review
I’m not an athletic gal, but I don’t mind jumping onto an athletic fashion trend! Especially if it’s comfortable and stylish. I haven’t worn track pants since High School, but with a little styling, I made them work for a 40-something mom! Check out how to style track pants below!
How to Style Track Pants
We aren’t styling track pants the way we did in High School. We are trading out athletic tops and graphic tees for chic button-downs, oversized blazers, and comfy sweaters. I like the contrast of sporty and polished styles, such as a crisp button-up with loafers paired with track pants and a baseball cap. So I try to keep this in mind while styling track pants.

Adidas Firebird Loose Track Pant
The first order of business is to find the right track pants. I was looking for a pair with a wider leg and, preferably, stripes down the sides. While browsing the internet, I came across the Adidas Firebird Loose Track Pants. These are trending right now and for good reason – they have everything I was looking for – pockets, drawstring waist, loose leg, side stripes, and ankle zips. They even have a sewn-in front seam that I think makes them look more polished. You can also find them in a bunch of colors. I decided to go with dark green because it looked like a versatile color to style.
Track Pants Outfit Ideas
For this outfit, I went casual, pairing my Adidas track pants with a loose grey sweater over a white tee. The goal is always to add layers of interest to an outfit, so instead of just wearing the grey sweater by itself, I layered a white tee underneath. The white tee also ties in with the white stripes on the pants and my white sneakers. And when it’s colder, I can add an oversized denim jacket or blazer for even more interest! I could also swap my sneakers for loafers, ballet flats, or pointed-toe heels to “dress up” this outfit.

Adding a third piece is a general style tip, but I think it’s even more important when trying to elevate a really casual piece like track pants.
And don’t forget accessories! I added layered charm necklaces and a bright bag to my outfit. Notice how the Pinterest girlies are wearing chic sunglasses, a cap, and bold jewelry. All of those things take the outfit from “cool” to “extra cool”! Looking back now, I think I could have taken my own advice and added a cap and sunglasses. I do think the bright orange bag makes up for it, though! Which leads me to my next topic…
Le Tanneur Juliette Small Hobo Bag Review
When Le Tanneur reached out to offer me a bag from their new spring collection, I knew I had to go with something fun and fresh! I’m not usually a bold color person, but this Juliette Small Hobo Bag in Burnt Orange was speaking to me. It literally reminds me of an orange (the shape and color), and what’s not to love about that?! And if you don’t like bold colors, the Juliette comes in many neutral shades as well.
This is my FOURTH Le Tanneur bag, and they are all a part of my bag rotation. This one is no exception. The size is just right, and with 3 ways to wear the straps, it’s very easy to wear. The straps are adjustable and removable, allowing it to be carried as a handbag, shoulder bag, or crossbody bag! I have the shoulder bag strap on for these photos, and it’s the perfect fit for carrying it under my arm. Check out my reel to see all the strap options!
As I mentioned above, the size is perfect. I can fit my wallet, keys, phone, sunglasses, and a pouch of beauty items with no problem. Inside the bag, there are a patch pocket and a zipper pocket, so you can keep things organized and secure. I can already tell that I’ll be using this bag a lot this summer!
