I’ve talked about it before, but my favorite outfit combo is a blazer with jeans. It’s comfortable, stylish, and makes it look like you put effort into getting dressed without having to actually spend a lot of time thinking about it!

My favorite blazer to wear with jeans is the J.Crew Regent Blazer

This blazer is my go-to whenever I want to look pulled together but still be casual. This is a blazer you could wear to the work, especially if your work has casual days where you can wear jeans. I think it’s made to pair well with jeans. You’ll pretty much see every blogger wear this blazer with a striped shirt and a pair of jeans.

Why does it work so well?

The fabric is a nice mix of wool with a bit of stretch which makes it very comfortable to wear. It’s also very lightweight BUT it’s not flimsy and holds it shape well. I also love the popped collar. It gives it a more preppy, casual vibe, in my opinion. The length is a little longer than a typical office blazer which makes it seem more casual as well.

The good news is, J.Crew has a version of this blazer out every year so you can stalk it and wait for a good sale. That also means that it’s classic enough to be in style every year so it’s a good one to invest in. I got mine on sale a couple of years ago. J.Crew often releases it in different colors every once in awhile. I love this camel color because I think it’s so versatile but I’d love to pick up another one in a fun color one day.

How I styled the J.Crew Regent Blazer

Like I mentioned above, I’ve definitely worn it with a striped shirt. I also love pairing it will a simple, lightweight wool sweater and a pair of boots in the fall. I’ve also worn it with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a cute blouse. In the outfit above, I paired it will a dark floral top from Reformation. I love the combo of the more feminine top with the slightly masculine blazer. I wore my suede Everlane heels for a more dressed up look but this outfit would totally work with a pair of converse sneakers!
