I usually think of wearing my silk tops during the summer since they are light and breezy. BUT that doesn’t mean that you can’t transition your silk pieces into fall! In today’s post I’m sharing how to style silk tops for fall.
How to Style Silk Tops for Fall
Wool Blazer + Lug Sole Boots
I started with this casual silk tee. It’s definitely a lightweight, slightly sheer top and in the summer I’d be pairing it with a breezy midi skirt. But for fall I paired it with a wool blazer for extra warmth. I also like to add edgy accessories like lug sole boots and this studded bag from ANINE BING which I picked up at Shopbop. Fall definitely has me feeling more moody and I think this all-black look with gold accents goes with that feeling.

Plaid Skirt + Ankle Booties
For my second look I chose this bow-tie silk blouse. This silk blouse is slightly thicker than the casual tee above so it does work better for cooler weather. This blouse also has a nice sheen to it that makes it feel more appropriate for “fancier” outings.
Since I went with a more edge vibe for my first look I chose a more feminine style for this look. I paired my silk bow-tie blouse with a plaid, wool mini skirt and ankle booties. I think this look would be perfect for holiday parties (you don’t always have to wear a sparkly dress to look festive!).

I would definitely add a long wool coat to this look as well for extra warmth. And I highly suggest tights as well to keep your legs warmer!
