I feel like I’ve been wearing a lot of holiday inspired outfit recently. Maybe it’s because it doesn’t feel like Christmas time yet (because it’s still 80 degrees outside!) so I’m trying to make my outfits feel festive. I promise I have more casual “everyday” outfits coming up! I had a good reason for wearing this outfit though. I needed to take photos for our Christmas cards!

Are any of you planning on sending out holiday cards this year? I’ve never done it before. Partly because deep down I feel like it’s a waste of money! I mean, you can end up spending a couple hundred dollars on high quality cards + labels + postage! And isn’t it just another way for friends and family to judge you based on how nice your cards are and who you send them to? Despite all that I wanted to try it out once, haha.
We set up a little photo studio in our apartment. Our apartment doesn’t get much natural light so we positioned some lamps in the right spots and I wrapped my husband in some colorful lights! We set our camera up on a table, used a timer and voila! Christmas card photos!
I ordered the cards from Pinhole Press. I really liked the simplicity of the designs and the prices weren’t that bad. I only ordered 25 because like I said, it gets expensive!
Here’s two of the photos we used in our card!
Oh! And don’t forget to enter the Datevitation giveaway! You could win a fun gift for a loved one or friend!
One last thing – Everything at J.Crew Factory is 50% off! Plus free shipping when you spend $50 (w/code HOLIDAY50)! Happy shopping!
I hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving!

I love sending out christmas cards, I get a few boxes at TJMaxx (they always have so many good ones, for so little money) and stamps aren't too bad… we have to support the post office after all!
Chic on the Cheap
Your pictures turned out cute, and I love your outfit! I usually go with simple handmade cards and then I get the fun of making the cards–and they really don't cost all that much.
