Even though holiday celebrations might look a little different this year, I still think that we need to dress for the occasion! I’m kind of an expert at this because most years I don’t have any parties to go. Most of the time I end up celebrating at home but I still dress up. It’s an instant mood booster and it makes an ordinary day feel more festive. Since I’ve been blogging for soooo long I do have a collection of holiday outfits from years past that still deserve some attention. So I’m sharing some of my favorites in today’s post!
Holiday Outfit Ideas for Thanksgiving and Christmas
Plaid Pants + Lace Top

I think this outfit is perfect for Thanksgiving celebrations. I just love all the texture in this outfit – wool pants, lace top, croc embossed leather shoes. The neutral color palette and plaid fabric reminds me of fall. This outfit is put-together but also not too fancy. I think it’s a perfect outfit to wear even if you are spending Thanksgiving at home by yourself.

Corduroy Pants + Plaid Shirt

This is an outfit that can transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I love the combination of corduroy pants, plaid shirt, and puffy vest. It’s comfy, warm, and festive!

Velvet Blazer

A velvet blazer is a must-have holiday outfit item, in my opinion. It can easily be dressed up or down and velvet just screams “holiday”. I look for jewel tones for my holiday blazers. This golden color is gorgeous but I also love emerald or berry. I paired my blazer with a lace top, skinny jeans, and pointed booties. You can also throw a velvet blazer over a dress for a fancier holiday outfit.

Sparkly Mini Dress

You have to have a little sparkle in your holiday wardrobe, right?! I love this dress because it’s a more subtle sparkle with the gold leaf print AND it has long sleeves. I don’t know about you, but I’m always cold so long sleeves on a mini dress definitely help. Add a fun beaded bag and some heels and you are ready to party!
