Hike it up!

I’ve been wanting to wear this blouse with the skirt for the longest time.  I actually bought them together about 2 years ago with the intention of pairing them together.  But every time I tried this outfit on something was wrong.  This skirt sits more on my hips and with the loose blouse I just felt frumpy.  I finally figured it out – hike the skirt up!  I pinned it in the back so now the skirt sits high on my waist.  I added my new gold plated belt to further define my waist and add a little more pizazz! And now I don’t feel frumpy! 
I’m feeling a lot better now! Thanks for your well wishes! Although, I’m a little scared I might have a brain eating amoeba.  See, I used a neti pot (gross!) while I was sick and used regular tap water.  Apparently, you should ONLY use distilled or boiled water to kill all those organisms! I didn’t know!! Ok, it is extremely rare to get one of those but I’m still kind of freaking out.  So if I suddenly stop blogging you’ll know why! :-/ You should see symptoms within 2-15 days and it’s been about 5 days so far so I’m not out of the woods yet!

  5. I love that outfit! I have a few pinned just like it! I have been looking for a skirt just like that for so long– one that will transition nicely into cooler weather, but haven't had any luck 🙁

  10. I almost bought these shoes! They are so pretty and I love this outfit very military/girlie! I feel as though in high school instead of learning proofs and how to find x we should of learned how to sew so we could hem and make clothes fit better. I would use that talent a lot! Great fix!
