Gingham Outfits and French Style
If there’s one print that screams spring and summer, it’s gingham! It’s an iconic print that’s been worn by everyone from Katharine Hepburn to Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz. It also brings to mind picnics on hot summer days. I personally love the print because you can usually find it in black and white (one of my favorite combinations) and that always seems like a classic combo to me.
So I knew I had to add this gingham jumpsuit to my closet the moment I saw it.
I added it to my cart immediately! I get the fun gingham print and chic French style all in one! I just mentioned that I love the black and white gingham but this print is actually a grey. It still has the same effect as the black and white print but it’s a little softer and subtle, in my opinion. And while this jumpsuit is definitely more of a splurge, I think it’s worth it. I haven’t found a similar jumpsuit available at the moment. It’s made of 100% cotton and it’s soooo soft. The details are also on point – from the button front to the pleated puff sleeve, to the slightly flared leg. I definitely feel like a French girl while wearing it!
Speaking of French style, Musier Paris is another independent French brand that I’ve fallen in love with recently.
They just released a small capsule collection and all the pieces are amazing. So far I’ve gotten this gingham jumpsuit, an off the shoulder LBD, and cute wrap dress. But I also love the shoes and bags! The only downside is that there’s limited sizing. They basically only have sizes small, smaller, and smallest. I’m wearing the size 36 which is the smallest size available. But maybe in the future they will offer more sizes!
I wore my new gingham jumpsuit to brunch with Adri last week. I love when my outfit compliments my surroundings and I thought the gingham print looked so cute against the yellow booth at The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker in West Hollywood! And I have to mention these lattes. They may cost $7 but how amazing is the art?! I’ve never seen a latte like that and it was definitely Instagram worthy.

If a full gingham jumpsuit isn’t your cup of tea you can always buy matching gingham separates to give the illusion of a jumpsuit. Or you can be a little more subtle and go with just gingham pants or a gingham top. (You can see how I styled a pair of gingham pants here). But either way, a little gingham in your closet for summer is never a bad idea!
Honey, this dress is beautiful. You should look good in it
