If you base an outfit’s success on whether or not you receive compliments then this one’s a winner.  I got a “nice outfit” response from an old guy as I passed him on the street.  Although, he wasn’t old as in “grandpa” which would have been cute but old as in “you are old enough to be my dad” which is probably kind of creepy.  Or maybe he was being sarcastic because he didn’t understand why I was walking around in the middle of the day wearing a black fringe mini skirt. Either way I’m choosing to take it as a compliment because it evoked some kind of response from a stranger, which is always the goal, right?
This outfit is kind of similar to this outfit I wore recently.  But I’m loving the mini skirt + blazer + cute sandal combo right now. And if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

  1. I agree with the old, creepy man. Love this outfit! I like when neutrals are paired together with interesting textures/patterns. It shows you don't have to use color to draw attention to an outfit! -Megan (your sister)
