Freda Salvador Libby D’Orsay Sneaker Review
I chose the LIBBY D’Orsay Sneaker in suede from their new spring collection! The LIBBY is an update on their classic EDA D’Orsay sneaker. Instead of laces the LIBBY has a 3 strap velcro closure. I was also drawn to the cut outs on the side and the beautiful tan suede.
The LIBBY D’Orsay Sneaker is made from 100% Italian leather in stucco suede. It has a padded leather footbed and vulcanized rubber sole.
Size and Fit
I have a pair of Freda Boots from last season in size 8.5 so I went with that size again for this pair. I was a little worried that these sneakers wouldn’t fit my feet because I have narrow feet and heels and usually slip on type shoes don’t work for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised that these don’t slip off my feet! I do have to pull the velcro straps as tight as they will go, however! But I wouldn’t be able to size down because the 8.5 are a perfect fit length wise. So the good news is, if you have normal to wide feet, this pair is pretty adjustable and will probably be a good fit! I’m either an 8.5 or 9 in shoes and I have 3 pairs of Freda shoes now that are all 8.5. So I would say that if you are in between sizes to take your smaller size. Especially since all of these shoes are leather and will most likely stretch out a bit. I love that Freda shares the Lasts they use for each pair of shoes so you can get a better idea of how the style will work for you.
The LIBBY in suede is also VERY comfortable. There was no break-in period for me with these sneakers. I’ve worn them a couple times with socks and without socks and they’ve felt comfortable each time. I’m not a huge sneaker lover in general but I do really like this pair and I’ll be wearing them a lot this spring! If the suede style isn’t for you the LIBBY is also available in white leather!
So are Freda Salvador shoes worth it? Yes, I think so. I have 3 pairs of Freda Salvador shoes – the ANDY Boot, LIBBY Sneakers, and JUANA Moccasin. They are all really comfortable, sturdy, and well made – not to mention SUPER cool. I think a lot of their styles are really unique and ones you won’t find anywhere else. Part of the cost is also due to the fact that they are ethically produced with great attention to detail.

Spring Outfit ft. Freda Salvador LIBBY D’Orsay Sneakers
These sneakers are actually really versatile and look great with dresses but for this outfit I paired them with a pair of skinny jeans (yes, I’m still wearing skinny jeans!) and a floral blouse. I picked this dark floral print blouse up during a DOEN sale and I really love it. The painter’s blouse shape and bow tied sleeve cuffs make the perfect easy, breezy spring top. I’ve also added these cute heart socks from Sézane when the weather is a little chilly.
