Freda Salvador Keen Mule Review
I’m back with another Freda Salvador shoe review! This shoe brand has quickly become one of my favorite brands. Freda shoe designs are classic but always with updated details that make them unique and special. Not to mention, they are ethically made! This time I’m reviewing the Freda Salvador Keen Mule.

Materials + Details
Of course, I love a woven leather shoe but what drew me to these mules were the little details like the studded welt and the little leather strip across the heel. It’s details like that that always have me coming back to Freda shoes. The natural woven leather is also a dream. It’s soft and breathable so you won’t have a problem wearing these in warmer weather. The leather is so soft that it really moves and bends with your feet. There’s no breaking in required for these mules!
Size and Fit
I’m wearing my usual size in Freda shoes which is an 8.5. I’m either between an 8.5 or 9 in other shoe brands so I would say that if you are in-between sizes to take your smaller size. I do have a little more wiggle room in these mules compared to my other Freda shoes so if you have a wider foot these might work well for you. You can see in the photo above that I have a space between my foot and the tongue of the shoe. The leather is also very flexible and I have a feeling will loosen up over time.
How to Style the Freda Salvador Keen Mule
There are really endless ways to style the Keen mule because it’s so neutral and versatile. I’ve worn these mules with dresses and pants. (I love how these look with a simple black sundress). But today I’ve chosen to pair these woven textured mules with a fun printed top!
I recently got the Doen Jane blouse in this beautiful block printed design. This is my second Doen Jane blouse and I just love how flowy and oversized it is. It’s VERY wide so I do size down. I’m wearing the XS and there’s plenty of room. The Jane Blouse comes in multiple colors and prints. I have one from a previous season in a green, cotton voile material that is more sheer.
Since the blouse is so unstructured and oversized, I paired it with my slim denim jeans from Sézane. It’s surprisingly hard to find good high waisted skinny jeans nowadays but I do love this pair. I just wish it came in more washes! The final touches to the outfit are my Janessa Leone hat with these cool ties and my Sézane suede belt.
Overall, it’s an easy outfit to throw on that still has interesting patterns, shape, and textures. The star, of course, is the Freda Salvador Keen Mules!
