I’ve been really drawn to minimalist, black and white looks lately. It just looks and feels effortlessly chic. I thought a simple black and white look would be perfect for showing off this Everlane silk top. My Everlane collection is definitely growing fast and that’s ok with me! I also bought this sleeveless silk dress. Both of these items didn’t disappoint!
In other news, I had minor surgery on Wednesday to remove a lump I found in one breast. I wanted to mention it because I think it’s important to remind everyone to do their monthly breast exam. It’s easy to forget – especially in your 20’s when you feel like you’re too young to get breast cancer. I guess I’m not super young anymore – I just turned 30 – but it was still kind of shocking to feel a lump. I followed up with an ultrasound and biopsy. Thankfully, it wasn’t cancer but the doctor decided to take it out anyway as it might turn cancerous if it grows. Everything went well with the surgery and I’m feeling fine now!

  1. I am glad you are okay and how scary to have that happen when you are so young. I am so bad and finally had my mammogram done recently and it was a bit nerve wrecking because I had to get second set of tests done because they found something. Luckily, it was nothing but if it was I could not blame myself for not getting tested.

  2. I love your black and white outfit. I have very similar pieces in my own closet so I might try this look. TFS about your lump. I had no idea small lumps could turn cancerous. I've never heard of that before. I have a small cluster of cysts in one of my breasts that are not cancerous, and they did not suggest any surgery.
