If you haven’t noticed, denim skirt are so “in” right now. Every fashion blogger and their mother (probably) is sporting one. Luckily, after searching through my drawer of “clothes I don’t wear anymore but don’t want to get rid of because they might come back in style” I found this skirt! I think it still might be a little conservative for the current style of denim skirts right now. I’ve been seeing a lot of lighter distressed pencil skirts or button front mini skirts recently.
But since I didn’t want to go buy a potentially trendy item I decided to style the one I have. I went very laid back with just a white button up shirt and my new leopard mules for some interest. Sometimes less is more, right?
I have to talk about these mules for a moment. I’ve had my eye on them for a while but wasn’t sure of my size (I hate returning shoes!). Luckily, Marais had a sample sale last weekend and I was able to try on a few pairs and pick these up for $50! So if you live around LA make sure to sign up for their newsletter so you know when the next one is. They have really great shoes and they are made in the USA!
Now on to Flashback Fashion Fridays! Here’s a look from August 20th, 2014. I still have all of these pieces and I still think this outfit is pretty cute! That’s what’s fun about flashing back – I’m reminded of pieces I have in my closet and ways to wear them.
Adri and I would love for you to join us this week and link up your flashback fashions! You can include a link or photo in your post to an outfit from last year, month or even week! It’s fun to see how our style choices change over the year.
