Favorites From The Past Month: Product Roundup
One of the perks of being a blogger is getting sent products to try out and review. Hey – I may not get paid a lot but I get a lot of fun stuff to play with! A lot of times, I just don’t have the time to dedicate a whole post to the products I get sent. But I still enjoy using a lot of them and some become favorite items that I incorporate into my everyday life. So I thought every month I’d try doing a product roundup so you get to see some of the new products on the market and maybe discover a new favorite!
Favorite Products From February
Lavido Natural Skincare Brand
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet with Ido, the founder and creator of Lavido – the largest natural skincare brand in Israel! After 16 years in Israel, Lavido is finally making it’s way over to the United States!
I was really impressed with the research and technology that goes into Lavido. Ido is actively involved in the brand he created and he uses his knowledge as an herbalist to develop effective skincare products. Ido mentioned that they put most of their budget into research, technology, and testing to make sure they have the highest quality products. I wish I could better explain to you some of the techniques they use to make their products because it’s really amazing!
After my over an hour long conversation with Ido I feel like Lavido is a skincare brand that you can really trust. All of their products are made WITHOUT parabens, mineral oil, petroleum, silicones, phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, synthetic dyes or fragrances, alcohol, PEG, SLS, and are not tested on animals. They are also dermatologically tested and clinically proven. Oh! Did I mention Gwyneth Paltrow is a fan? Lavido is also featured and sold on Goop.com!
I was generously given a bunch of their products to try out including the face mask, eye cream, facial serum, facial cream, foot cream, and body cream. All of the Lavido products feel really luxurious – I feel like I’m at a spa when applying the products. They smell soooo good. Lavido products are also reasonable priced.
Seed Phytonutrients Hair Care
Seed Phytonutrients is a natural hair and skin brand based out of Doylestown, PA. This is a brand that really excited me because it’s based close to where I grew up in Pennsylvania AND it supports farmers. If you didn’t know, my husband’s family are dairy farmers so I think it’s really cool that the brand partners with farmers to source their ingredients. Their bottles are made from recycled plastic and covered in a shower friendly recycled paper that also contains a packet of seeds! So after you finish the bottle you can tear open the paper bottle to reveal the packet! And the also have a recycling program for the plastic bottles so you can send the empties back for free! I really think everything about this company is amazing.
P.S. You can also find them at Sephora!
They kindly sent me the Color Care Shampoo, Color Care Conditioner, and Color Care Protective Mist along with the Body Cleanser. The shampoo and conditioner definitely get the job done but my favorite is the body wash! I loved the lather and the smell. It also won an Allure Breakthrough Award! Definitely show them some support because they are a brand new company! They just launched last year!
Summer Fridays R+R Mask
I’m sure you’ve all heard by now about this brand which was started by bloggers Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores. They started with the popular Jet Lag mask and have since added two new masks to the line up. When I saw that their newest launch, the R+R mask, was made with Bulgarian Rose oil and Rose Flower Powder I knew I had to try it out. (I’m kinda obsessed with rose scented products).
It’s basically an exfoliating mask and essential oil mask in one and it’s supposed to give you a nice bright glow. I love the smell (big surprise) and it feels very luxurious. It does leave my skin very soft and moisturized. The downside is the price. It’s $52 for 2.25 fl. oz. So that does feel like a big splurge for a little product. I’ll have to finish the bottle and see how I feel about purchasing it again (I bought it with my own money – not gifted). But right now I’m loving it because it feels like a nice treat!
Vitruvi
I looove me some essential oils so an oil diffuser is a must have. Unfortunately, a lot of the oil diffusers I looked into weren’t that aesthetically pleasing. I was able to find one awhile ago off of amazon that looks decent but it’s still made out of a cheap plastic.
Thank goodness I discovered Vitruvi! Their diffusers are a piece of artwork. They are so sleek and have a porcelain stone cover that looks like terracotta clay. They started with minimalist black and white diffuser options but recently added the “Tuscany Collection” which includes Terracotta, Sage, and Sand colors. I also think the packaging of their essential oils is so fun. The nerd in me geeked out over the periodic table inspired bottles!
I was invited to an event recently to check out the new Tuscany collection and create my own “diffuser cocktail” with their essential oils. I was gifted the Sand Diffuser and it’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s a neutral color that will go in any decor setting. My diffuser mix is 6 drops of Bergamot, 6 drops of Geranium, 3 drops of Spruce, and 5 drops of Ylang Ylang and it smells amazing!
The diffusers are on the pricier side but totally worth it if you are someone who uses a diffuser often and is picking about your decor.
Alphabet Legends Kids Books
These fun books were created by Beck Feiner – illustrator, designer, and mother of two who lives in Sydney, Australia. She created the books so she could have meaningful conversations with her little ones while teaching them the alphabet. There are several different themed books available but I was sent Lady Legends, Fashion Legends, and Little Legends. The colors and illustrations are so fun AND educational! I actually learned something while reading them…haha.
