Fall Fashion Trends: Splurge Vs. Save

*This post is sponsored by Nakturnal. All opinions are my own!

Fall is fast approaching (can you believe it??) and that means it’s time to start thinking about fall fashion trends! I definitely get inspiration from designer fall fashions. And with Fashion Week coming up, now is a great time to start keeping track of the trends that will be big this fall. I used to think that Fashion Week didn’t really have any relevance for me since a lot of the designs are way out of my price range. But now I love to see all of the designer fashions that hit the runways and look for more affordable options at my favorite retailers. So I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite fall fashion trends at designer “splurge” price points and more affordable “save” versions. Of course, if I had the budget I’d definitely be investing in some designer pieces!

Fall Fashion Trends, 3.1 Phillip Lim Jacket, bomber jackets, fall denim

Fall Floral: Floral doesn’t have to be just for spring and summer! I love to wear floral in the fall. Just look for floral in darker prints or mixed with luxe fall fabrics like velvet. And instead of summer cuts like off-the-shoulder, look for longer sleeves or longer hemlines. I love to mix a fall floral dress with a pair of over the knee boots or ankle booties.

Pearl Details: Embellishments have been going strong for awhile and this fall it’s all about the pearls! Look for pearl details on tops, jackets, accessories, and my favorite – denim!

Embroidery and Velvet: Embroidered pieces have been going strong this summer if you haven’t noticed. But instead of embroidery on light summer dresses, look for it on outerwear.  These jackets are a great example. They are actually two fall trends in one – embroidery and velvet! Velvet is another trend that’s big for fall. And the combination of embroidery + velvet is a match made in fashion heaven!

Bomber Jackets: Bomber jackets have made a comeback and this fall look for these jackets in fall fabrics and prints – like satin and plaid!
