I told you I couldn’t resist corduroy so when I saw this matching set I had to have it! And guys, it’s sooo comfy I’ve been wearing it non-stop since I got it! I also love this rust-orange color and think it’s perfect for fall.

And what makes this set even better is that it’s from LACAUSA – an ethical fashion brand based out of Los Angeles! LACAUSA is a new-to-me brand and I was excited when they asked me to try out some of their pieces. The pieces have a laid back California vibe with minimalist and bohemian touches. La Causa in Spanish means “the cause” and LACAUSA’s goal is to produce high quality pieces in ethical conditions. They also partner with different causes and charities throughout the year to give back to the community!

How to Style a Corduroy Set

I love sets because they look great paired together (obviously) and you can mix and match with other pieces in your closet to create a whole new look! The jacket and pant are sold separately but I love how they look together. Both pieces are boxy, cropped, and oversized but I think that makes them really comfortable. All I had to do was add a basic tank (or tee) and a pair of booties and my look was complete. But I’ve also worn these pants separately with a graphic tee and I’ve worn this jacket with a pair of denim. I also think either piece would look good paired with a dark floral top!

On another note…

I was planning on doing the link up today but I had an allergic reaction to something I ate yesterday and didn’t get around to it. Oops! I’ve never had a reaction to something I’ve eaten before so I was a little freaked out. I started getting hives and my lips swelled up. I was worried that it would start affecting my breathing and I’d have to go to the hospital. But I took some benadryl and it seemed to help. I made stuffed poblano peppers last night and I’m thinking that the oil from the peppers is what caused it. Yikes!

Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend! Can you believe it’s November already??

  1. Oh no! That’s a little scary and I am glad that your reaction was able to subside after some Benadryl. This two set piece is a nice wardrobe staple. Like you said, not only can you wear them separately to create more looks but it looks amazing together. Btw, these pictures look great! The corn field is a nice backdrop to your outfit!
