Easy Summer Outfits Ft. Jenni Kayne
White Summer Dress + Crossover Sandals
Is there anything better than a breezy white dress in the summer? This one is 88% cotton and 12% linen, lined (so it’s not see through), and super comfortable. I love the tent style and tiered details. I literally just swing around in it all day. One side of the dress has two little button closures with a keyhole detail under the armpit – which I think is a cute detail (see below). I’m wearing the size small and I’d say it’s true to size. The only downsides to this dress are the straps aren’t adjustable and it has no pockets.
I thought this was the perfect dress to pair with the Jenni Kayne Pony Hair Crossover Sandals in Cheetah. These sandals are super comfortable and fit my narrow feet perfectly. I’m wearing the size 9 so I would suggest sizing up if you are in-between sizes. I love how the white dress draws all the attention to these printed sandals.
And if it’s a little chilly outside, this dress will look great with the Fisherman Sweater! You can either slip it on overtop of the dress or tie it around your shoulders if you want to look extra cool.
Leopard Slip Dress with Slip on Sneakers
Jenni Kayne makes the leopard slip dress that I didn’t know I needed. I’m not a huge fan of leopard prints (I find them kind of tacky.) BUT when it’s done right I do love a good leopard print. This leopard print is perfect because it’s small and with subdued neutral shades. So when you are standing farther back you can’t really tell that it’s a leopard print.
I actually wore this dress all weekend at the beach and it was perfect. It’s technically not a beach dress but I felt like I could slip it on over a bathing suit or wear on it’s own with a light jacket for walking the boardwalk. I love wearing this slip dress with the Cotton Cocoon Cardigan.
Jenni Kayne also sent me their Canvas Slider Sneaker to try. These are great when you need to slip on a pair of shoes really quick but want more support than a sandal. I didn’t take these to the beach because – sand – but for everyday wear they are great. I will say that these probably work better if you have a normal width foot. I have a very narrow foot so I don’t usually fill out shoes very well. These are kind of loose on me just because my foot is so skinny. The other downside with these sneakers is that they are a white canvas so they will probably end up getting pretty dirty.
