A Double Denim Look with Fun Accessories
If I have a go-to outfit, it’s definitely denim on denim. It’s the perfect blank canvas for accessorizing. And the combinations are endless! In today’s double denim look I added a fun printed scarf, bright sandals, and a statement bag. Speaking of this bag – it’s back in stock! It was super popular last summer and kept selling out at all retailers. So if you are thinking about it, get it now before spring/summer officially hits! I have a feeling it’s going to sell out again. It really is a cool bag.
I finally caved and bought a pair of maternity jeans. I thought I would hate them, but I was pleasantly surprised! This pair has an “under the bump” waistband so it doesn’t go all the way over the belly. It feels just like wearing a regular pair of jeans! And I love that this pair was only $38. I definitely did not want to spend a lot of money on jeans I might not be wearing for that long.
I’m also really excited about these red suede sandals! I’ve been on the hunt for an affordable style ever since I saw this Marais USA pair. This pair from Banana Republic has a great heel height, made out of real suede and less is than $80. But Banana Republic always has sales and promotions so I’m sure you could get them cheaper than that. I also had my eye on this pair which is on sale but decided to go with a lower heel. Here are more of my favorite red sandals and mules:
Outfit Details:
Madewell Chambray Shirt (similar)
ASOS Maternity Jeans
Banana Republic Sandals (size down)
Madewell Bandana (6 patterns to choose from!)
Cult Gaia Bamboo Ark Bag (small size)
Ray-ban Sunglasses c/o Shopbop
Now onto Flashback Fashion Fridays! Here’s a look from last March. This Everlane silk square shirt is one of my favorites and great for minimalist style outfits! And it comes in 8 colors! I’m really loving the mint and rhubarb shades.
Our picks from last weeks linkup are Chioma from C’s Evolution of Style and Leah from Eat Pray Wear Love!

The two different shades of denim look great together. The pops of colour with the scarf and sandals, and that fabulous bag finish the outfit off perfectly!

I need a new pair of red sandals—the ones I have tend to pinch–ugh!!
The double denim looks so great—how funny I remember reading this was a “not to do” look a couple of years ago. It just goes to show even the newer “rules” can be wrong!!
