I feel like it’s been soooo long since I’ve done a regular outfit of the day post. 2020 has been a weird year! But I finally got a change to get out of the house to visit The Row in DTLA and it was the perfect spot for photos because it was deserted! I feel bad for all the businesses there because it seems like business must be down a lot. But it was good news for me because I hate a crowd when I’m taking photos. After grabbing coffee and a bite to eat at Go Get Em Tiger it was time for some photos!

I JUST got this gorgeous Dôen top in the mail and thought it was the perfect opportunity to wear it. It’s super sweet, feminine, and comfortable. It’s a loose billowy top with smocking at the neckline and sleeves. I thought the fall floral print would pair perfectly with my Everlane Wide Leg pants in this ochre shade.
This top definitely is a splurge but I’ve been trying to ‘buy less and buy better’. I want the pieces in my closet to really stand out and I want to LOVE wearing them. It feels like such a treat to wear a Dôen piece because I know it was carefully and ethically made. The pieces really are gorgeous in person. I’ve been a long time lover of Dôen pieces but this is actually only the second Dôen piece that I own! I have a dress from Dôen that I love so I thought it was about time to expand my collection.

I thought this Dôen top paired perfectly with my Everlane Wide Leg pants. It gives this outfit a 70’s vibe I think. Can I just say how much I love wide leg cropped pants? This Everlane pair is affordable and comes in soooo many colors. I love these pants so much that I think I might invest in the OG wide leg pants from Jesse Kamm, aka Kamm Pants. I just love the silhouette created by the Kamm pants. The waist is higher and the pant leg is longer which I think would be perfect for my body type. They are an investment however so I’ll have to start saving for them!

I also have another Dôen blouse coming that I think will pair perfectly with these pants. I’m so excited for all the fall florals!
I know ethical fashion can be a BIG investment. If you would like to start buying more ethical pieces but aren’t sure if you can afford it, check out my How to Afford Ethical Fashion post! I’ve got some tips and tricks for how to find ethical pieces on sale and other options for buying more ethically on a budget.
