I’m a huge fan of denim on denim looks. Sadly, I’m still losing my baby weight and don’t fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans at the moment – which means double denim looks are out of the question.  Luckily, Old Navy has me covered with a ton of great denim pieces at affordable prices! I’m able to add new denim pieces to my closet but not spend a fortune while I’m transitioning between sizes.

I was really excited to see a lot of interesting cuts and styles available at Old Navy. Like these step-hem jeans (which I just ordered) and the cropped flare jeans I’m wearing. After wearing your basic skinny jeans for years I like to mix it up every once in awhile with fun denim! I’m also excited about this distressed denim jacket. I decided to size up to a medium for a slightly more oversized look. It also helps break up my all white look.

If you’ve been wanting to try a denim on denim but are afraid of looking like Jay Leno, try mixing different washes. For example, dark wash denim jeans with a light chambray top. Or white denim pants with a distressed denim jacket – like what I’m wearing! And finally, add a bright red lip for a fun pop of color!

  1. Such a nice way to wear double denim! 🙂 I never thought of buying new jeans in the postpartum days – I just continued to wear my maternity jeans until I could fit back into my regular ones, haha! 🙂 Elastic waists are the best!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend 🙂

    1. That’s a great idea! I actually didn’t think about wearing my maternity jeans…haha. Definitely saves money! I actually only bought 2 basic pairs of maternity jeans though (and I ruined one pair by sitting in some pasta sauce! lol). Since I was pregnant for most of the summer it was just easier to wear dresses. So I’m using that as an excuse to buy more jeans! 🙂
